Privacy Policy
What we collect when you visit our site, ask for an estimate, or call or text us, and the choices you have. In plain English.
Last updated:
The short version
- We collect what you type into our forms, what you tell us by phone, text or email, and basic technical data from your browser.
- We use it to answer you, prepare your estimate, deliver our services and measure our ads.
- We do not sell personal information. Our Google and Meta ad tags may count as “sharing” for targeted ads under some US state laws. You can opt out.
- We only text you if you opt in. Reply STOP to stop or HELP for help.
- Calls may be answered or placed by an AI assistant and may be recorded and transcribed.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time: elliott@premmisus.com.
1.Who we are
Premmisus Inc. (“Premmisus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) builds and runs lead-handling systems for home service businesses: websites, missed-call text-back, review requests and customer win-back messaging. We are based in Ontario, Canada, and we work with businesses in the United States and Canada.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through premmisus.com (the “site”), our price tool and contact forms, and the calls, text messages and emails connected to them. It does not cover information we process on behalf of our clients, for example the leads that come in through the websites and messaging systems we run for a client’s business. That information belongs to the client and is handled under our client agreement and the client’s own privacy policy.
We have designated a Privacy Officer who is accountable for how we handle personal information. You can reach them at elliott@premmisus.com.
2.Information we collect
Information you give us
- Price tool: your industry, name, email, phone number, company name, website and any message you add.
- Contact form: your name, email, phone number, company and message.
- Text-message consent records: when you join Premmisus Meeting Texts by texting MEET and replying Y, we keep those texts, with the date and time, as the record of your consent.
- Calls, texts, emails and WhatsApp: your phone number or email address, the content of your messages, and call recordings and transcripts (see Phone calls and our AI assistant).
- Booked appointments: your name, contact details and the time you picked.
- Clients: business contact details, billing details, access to ad and business accounts, and the onboarding information needed to deliver our services under a written agreement.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type and user agent, device type, pages you view, time on page, the page that referred you, and an approximate location (city or region) based on your IP address.
- Campaign data: ad and campaign tags in the link you clicked, such as UTM parameters and click IDs
(
gclid,gbraid,wbraid,fbclid,msclkid). We keep these in your browser for the current session and attach them to your form if you submit one, so we know which ad brought you here. - Cookies and similar technologies: see Cookies and tracking technologies.
Information from other sources
- Ad platforms: if you fill out a lead form inside an ad on Facebook, Instagram or Google, the platform passes us the details you entered. Platforms also give us reports about how our ads perform.
- Public business information: when we prepare an estimate or review your business, we may look at your website, Google Business Profile, online reviews and ads that are publicly visible.
- Referrals: contact details shared by someone who introduced you to us.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as Social Security or Social Insurance numbers, health information or precise location. Please don’t include it in our forms or messages.
3.How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- answer your inquiry and decide whether we’re a good fit;
- contact you by phone, email or text about your inquiry, and schedule and remind you of appointments;
- deliver our services to clients, manage accounts, send invoices and provide support;
- send marketing emails, only where you have agreed or the law allows it, and always with a way to opt out (our US text program, Premmisus Meeting Texts, never sends marketing texts);
- measure and improve our site and ads, including conversion tracking and showing our ads to people who visited the site;
- protect the site, our team and our clients from spam, fraud and abuse, and fix technical problems;
- keep records, comply with the law, enforce our Terms of Use and handle legal claims.
We may also create aggregated or de-identified information (for example, the average budget of businesses that request an estimate). That information no longer identifies you, and we don’t try to re-identify it.
4.Consent and legal bases
Canada (PIPEDA and CASL)
We collect, use and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent, and only for the purposes in this policy. Under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we send commercial electronic messages, such as marketing emails, only with your express consent or where CASL allows implied consent (for example, for a limited time after you contact us with an inquiry). Every message identifies us, includes our contact details and gives you a free way to unsubscribe. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, usually much faster.
United States (TCPA and CAN-SPAM)
Under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), we send automated text messages and make calls that use automated technology or an artificial or AI-generated voice only with your prior express consent. We do not send marketing text messages to the United States. Consent is always optional and is not a condition of purchase. Our marketing emails follow the CAN-SPAM Act: they identify us, include our mailing address and contain a working unsubscribe link.
Other places
Our services are aimed at businesses in the United States and Canada. Where a law requires a legal basis for processing, such as in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on your consent, on steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, on our legitimate interests (answering inquiries, securing the site and improving our services), or on legal obligations.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw consent at any time: reply STOP to a text, click “unsubscribe” in an email, or contact us at elliott@premmisus.com. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything we did before, and we may still contact you where needed to provide services you’ve asked for.
5.Text messages (SMS)
We text business owners in two cases only: through Premmisus Meeting Texts, after they join it themselves by text; and one-to-one when they text one of our numbers first. Here’s how the program works:
- Program name: Premmisus Meeting Texts.
- How you join: text MEET to (917) 905-6758 or (615) 551-3521, then reply Y when we ask you to confirm. You are not enrolled until you reply Y.
- What you’ll get: a recap after a phone call you took part in, confirmations and reminders for meetings you booked with our team, and updates and check-ins about work we’re doing for you. Never marketing.
- How often: message frequency varies.
- Cost: Message & data rates may apply.
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message. You’ll get one confirmation text and no further messages.
- Help: reply HELP, email elliott@premmisus.com.
- Not required: consent to texts is not a condition of purchase.
- Our website forms: submitting a form does not sign you up for texts.
We never text a number obtained from public sources or referrals unless that person has opted in directly with Premmisus. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The full program terms are in our SMS Terms.
Your mobile information
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
6.Phone calls and our AI assistant
When you call us, or when we call you back about your inquiry, the call may be answered or placed by an AI voice assistant working on our behalf. It can answer questions, collect details about your project and book an appointment. You can ask to speak with a person at any time.
- Recording and transcripts: calls may be recorded and transcribed, and the AI assistant may create a short summary. We use these to follow up on your request, keep accurate records, check quality and train our team.
- Notice: we tell you at the start of the call that it may be recorded. Where the law requires everyone on the call to agree, staying on the line after that notice means you agree. If you don’t want to be recorded, tell us and we’ll continue by email instead.
- Outbound AI calls: we only place calls using an AI or artificial voice to numbers whose owners have given us prior express consent, as the TCPA requires.
- Who processes the calls: our phone and CRM platform (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector), our voice AI provider (Vapi) and the speech and language AI services they use to transcribe and respond in real time.
9.How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it:
- Inquiries that don’t become clients: up to 12 months after your most recent inquiry, including form answers, messages and call recordings. Then we delete or anonymize it.
- Clients: for as long as we work together, and afterwards as long as the law requires. For example, Canadian tax law generally requires business records to be kept for six years.
- Consent and opt-out records: a minimal record (your phone number or email, the consent wording, and the date and time of your consent or opt-out) for as long as we need it to prove we followed anti-spam and telemarketing laws. This is also how we make sure we never text or email you again after you opt out.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics keeps data for up to 14 months.
- Server logs: short periods, typically days to a few weeks.
10.How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including:
- encrypted connections (HTTPS) on every page and form;
- access limited to the people who need it to do their job, with two-factor authentication on key accounts;
- keeping the connection between our forms and our CRM on the server, out of the page’s public code;
- spam and abuse protection on our forms;
- choosing established service providers and reviewing their security practices.
No system is 100% secure. If a breach affects your personal information and creates a real risk of harm, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
11.Your rights in the United States
Several US states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Oregon, have consumer privacy laws. Whether a particular law applies depends on factors such as a company’s size, the amount of personal information it handles and the context in which it was collected. Some laws also treat information collected in a business-to-business context differently. Wherever you live in the US, we will review every request in good faith and respond as described here.
Your rights
- Know and access: ask what personal information we have about you, where it came from, why we use it and who we share it with, and get a copy.
- Delete: ask us to delete personal information we collected from you.
- Correct: ask us to fix information that is wrong.
- Portability: get your information in a format you can take elsewhere.
- Opt out: of the sale of personal information, of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, and of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information.
- Profiling and sensitive information: we don’t use personal information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and we don’t collect sensitive personal information to infer things about you.
- Non-discrimination: we will not deny you service, charge you a different price or treat you differently because you used any of these rights.
How to opt out of sharing and targeted advertising
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. We treat it as an opt-out for that browser where the law requires.
- Use the Google, Meta and industry opt-out links in Your choices.
- Email elliott@premmisus.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share.” We will stop including your email address in any list we send to ad platforms. We never send them phone numbers.
How to submit a request
- Email elliott@premmisus.com with the subject “Privacy request,” or
- email us at elliott@premmisus.com.
Tell us what you’d like us to do and how to reach you. To protect you, we verify your identity by matching details you already gave us, such as your email address and phone number. We may ask for more if the request involves sensitive details. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time (up to another 45 days), we’ll tell you why.
Authorized agents
You can ask someone to make a request for you. We will ask the agent for proof that you gave them signed permission, and we may ask you to confirm your identity directly with us, unless the agent has a valid power of attorney.
Appeals
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing elliott@premmisus.com with the subject “Privacy appeal.” We’ll respond within the time your state’s law requires, usually 45 to 60 days. If you’re not satisfied with the outcome, you can contact your state’s Attorney General.
California: categories of personal information
In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information below, from the sources and for the purposes described in this policy. We disclosed every category to our service providers for business purposes. The last column shows which categories our ad tags may “share” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don’t collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law.
| Category | Examples | Shared for ads? |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, phone number, IP address, ad click IDs | Yes: Google, Meta (never phone numbers) |
| Customer records | Name, phone number, billing details (clients) | No |
| Commercial information | Services you’re interested in, budget, timeline | No |
| Internet activity | Pages viewed, referring page, browser and device data | Yes: Google, Meta |
| Approximate location | City or region based on IP address (not precise location) | Yes: Google, Meta |
| Audio and electronic information | Call recordings, transcripts, text and email content | No |
| Professional information | Company name, industry, website, role | No |
| Inferences | Whether your business looks like a good fit for our services | No |
We have not sold personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. How long we keep each category is explained in How long we keep information.
California “Shine the Light”: we don’t share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Nevada: we don’t sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. You can still send an opt-out request to elliott@premmisus.com.
12.Your rights in Canada
In Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where they apply, provincial privacy laws give you the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you, and learn how we have used it and to whom we have disclosed it;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent, subject to legal or contractual limits (we’ll explain what that means for you);
- ask us to delete information we no longer need;
- challenge our compliance with this policy.
Send your request to elliott@premmisus.com. We respond within 30 days, at no cost to you in most cases. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (1-800-282-1376) or with your provincial privacy commissioner.
13.International data transfers
We are based in Canada, and most of our service providers are based in the United States. Your information is therefore processed and stored mainly in the United States and Canada, and in some cases in other countries where our providers or their subcontractors operate. The laws there may differ from the laws where you live, and courts, law enforcement and national security authorities in those countries may be able to access the information.
We use contracts and the safeguards described in this policy to protect information wherever it is processed. Where the law requires it, we rely on recognized transfer safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
14.Children
Our site and services are for businesses. They are not directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us at elliott@premmisus.com and we will delete it.
15.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, tools or the law change. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll show a notice on the site or email you if we have your address, and where the law requires it, we’ll ask for your consent before applying the change to information we already have.
